$250–$450Boots aren't on Hyundai's published schedule, but 60,000 miles or 5 years old — whichever comes first — is a sensible point to start actually looking at them, since boot rubber hardens and cracks with age even on a low-mileage car. This matters beyond the boot itself: a torn boot flings CV-joint grease outward as the axle spins, and on this platform that grease lands squarely on the inboard face of the front rotor and pad — so a torn boot ignored for even a few thousand miles can turn into a brake-pad replacement too, not just an axle. A distinct severe-condition mileage specific to this generation's IVT wasn't reliably corroborated, so this entry is an honest gap rather than an invented number — but given how poorly CVTs/IVTs tend to tolerate degraded fluid compared to a conventional automatic, budget for a proactive change in the 60,000-mile range as cheap insurance rather than waiting for a problem, which is the general independent-shop position on this transmission family.

The interaction that matters here: worn shocks/struts cause uneven, cupped tire wear on their own, independent of whether the alignment is in spec — if you're chasing odd tire wear and the alignment checks out fine, the shocks are the next thing to inspect, not a mystery.
