Should I buy a 2020–2024 Ford Escape?

Buy on paperwork, not on the test drive. Mechanically this generation is decent — the real risk is unfinished recall work. Before money changes hands, run the VIN through the NHTSA recall lookup: 1.5L cars need the fuel-injector recall closed out, hybrids need the 2.5L engine-failure recall inspection, and PHEVs need every high-voltage battery recall done.
